Consultant - Legal Research and Analysis
|
Mr. H. L. Tennakoon, a Barrister-at-Law of the Inner Temple, Inns of Court, London, was called to the English Bar soon after he completed his studies. He was admitted to practise as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1965.
In the course of his practice, Mr Tennakoon became well known as he had appeared in the High Court in practically every town or city in Malaya save Alor Star. He has also appeared in the High Courts in Sarawak and Sabah.
As an active practitioner of his profession Mr Tennakoon has acquired familiarity with a wide spectrum of the Law, and on occasion has had to take advice from Queen’s Counsel thereby enhancing his own knowledge of the Law, and the practice of the Law. He is able to deal with virtually any problem that may be presented to him as he is able to carry out thorough research into any branch of the Law.
Mr Tennakoon retired from practice in 1994 after 28 years at the Bar due mainly to health problems. He has kept in touch with the Law, however, assisting new practitioners with advice and in drawing up legal documents. He has, pursuant to an Order of the High Court, acted as Arbitrator in a commercial dispute.
