Terms and Conditions of Employment
Letters of Appointment – These are documents issued by the employer to an employee whereby the terms and conditions of employment are stipulated. The terms and Letter of Appointment is not exhaustive and may be subject to other terms and conditions stated in company’s handbook. Amongst these conditions are matters relating to wages/salaries, rest days, public holidays, leave benefits, maternity benefits, sick leave, termination and lay-off benefits etc. All employment contracts must specify the manner by which they can be terminated by either party to the contract.
